The AMRITA Story
Created from the Wish to Protect Life
AMRITA was completed in February 2011, shortly before the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.
Faced with an invisible environmental threat, we returned to a fundamental question: What is water that protects and supports life?
That question has guided the continued development of AMRITA for more than 15 years.

AMRITA was created through a thirty-year exploration of water, life and purity. Inspired by the ancient story of Amrita, our research began with a fundamental question: what kind of water can truly support life?
For us, purity means more than simply removing unwanted substances. It means helping the body, mind and consciousness return to their natural balance and harmony.
AMRITA brings together careful purification, Japanese water technology and a deep respect for life and nature—to support a more conscious relationship with the water we use every day.
In this story, “immortality” is a philosophical inspiration—not a medical promise. It represents the pursuit of purity in the body, mind and consciousness. AMRITA was created to support that journey through water.
Unexpected Experimental Observations
Water That Behaves Differently
AMRITA is not defined only by what it removes. In comparative observations, it has shown unusual behaviour at the boundary between water and oil, together with a distinctive pattern of fine-bubble release. These findings invite deeper investigation.
An Unusual Interaction with Oil
In a side-by-side demonstration using food colouring for visibility, the boundary between oil and AMRITA appeared different from the boundary observed with ordinary tap water. This suggests an unusual affinity at the interface between water and oil.
This is an experimental observation, not proof that oil is molecularly dissolved in water. Results may vary with the oil, temperature, mixing method and other test conditions.
Fine-Bubble Release: A Different Pattern
Under the same treatment conditions, AMRITA displayed many fine bubbles and a release pattern that differed from natural mineral water. This may reflect dissolved gases or differences in interfacial behaviour.
The gas composition has not yet been identified. Further analysis—including gas chromatography and reproducibility testing—is planned.
The Origin of the Name
Amrita—The Sacred Nectar of Life
In the ancient Indian story of the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, Amrita is the sacred nectar that sustains life. The name AMRITA reflects our aspiration to create water that supports life and harmony between people and nature.
For PREBALANCE, this story is more than a legend. It expresses the philosophy behind our decades of water research.

The Next Generation of AMRITA
AMRITA-SE represents the culmination of 15 years of development since the original launch. It combines a high-quality purification system with PREBALANCE’s proprietary approach to water conditioning and life-supporting balance.
Created in Japan and introduced internationally from Malaysia, AMRITA-SE is designed for everyday drinking, cooking and a more mindful relationship with water.

A third-party test compared municipal tap water with water passed through an AMRITA purification system following the Fukushima Daiichi accident.
These results relate to the specific sample, system and testing conditions used in March 2011. They should not be interpreted as a general guarantee for all radioactive substances or all usage conditions.
PFAS and Activated Carbon
Established Filtration, Ongoing Verification
AMRITA uses granular activated carbon, a filtration technology widely used to reduce PFAS such as PFOS and PFOA. Product-specific PFAS performance testing for the current AMRITA-SE system is planned; results will be published when third-party verification is complete.
